Ways To Give

There are many ways to give to Florida Tech and not all of them are financial in nature. How you choose to contribute to the university is entirely up to you. Giving options include annual gifts, planned giftsendowed gifts and gifts in-kind.

Annual Giving

Make a gift whenever the Panther spirit moves you! The most common type of donations to the university are spontaneous, made by generous alumni and friends of Florida Tech after speaking with one of our students on the phone, reading an issue of Florida Tech magazine, attending a campus event, or participating in our annual Day of Giving. These gifts may be unrestricted or designated for specific use by the donor.

Matching Gifts

You may currently work for a company that provides matching gifts. Check to see if your employer will match your contribution to Florida Tech.

Endowed Gifts

Gifts of $25,000 to $1 million (and more) can be used to establish a permanent endowed fund or scholarship. Endowments are permanent funds that grow with interest over time while also generating revenue for the university that may used for anything from student scholarships to faculty chairs.

Scholarships

A scholarship supports a portion of a student’s financial aid needs while also honoring that student’s achievements. Scholarships are often designated for particular areas of study or with other requirements based on the donor’s preferences.

Minimum: $25,000, or $500,000 for a full tuition award.

Professorships

A professorship is a research fund that also provides a faculty member with distinction in their field. Faculty holding a professorship use the income to support their research and programs and to fund student research in their area.

Minimum: $100,000

Named Chairs

A named chair provides the highest level of distinction for a faculty member. For donors who want to secure the present and future of a particular area of study, a named chair is ideal.

Minimum: $2 million

Naming Opportunities

Donor gifts can also be used to name areas of campus, from buildings to classrooms. Naming opportunities are often presented to individuals who have impacted the university in a variety of ways during their lives.

Minimum: Determined by the area size and visibility and by the needs to support the area named.

Wire Transfer

To make a wire transfer or automated clearing house (ACH) transfer to benefit a fund, department or program at Florida Tech, please contact us at gifts@game200.net.

Gifts in-Kind

Donors often offer in-kind donations of valuable property, including but not limited to equipment, artwork, vehicles, or real estate. As a policy, if accepted, Florida Tech will typically sell in-kind gifts unless otherwise agreed to. In-Kind gifts may, under some circumstances, be counted for fundraising purposes, but are always greatly appreciated and often bring important resources to our educational and research missions. Vehicle donations can be made on our vehicle donation page.
